  2. Purchasing Canadian services or products for a foreign government or business
  3. Attending conferences, meetings, trade fairs or conventions
  4. Providing after-sales services (Includes just managing and not performing hands-on labor)
  5. Getting trained by a Canadian parent company for whom you work outside Canada
  6. Training other employees of a Canadian branch of a foreign organization
  7. Getting trained by a Canadian company that has sold you services and equipment

Documents Needed To Enter Canada

If you are a business visitor, you will require either an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or a visitor visa to arrive in Canada. You may also need to provide your biometrics (photo and fingerprints) if you apply for a visitor visa.

You need to understand that business people and business visitors are not the same. Business people visit Canada to work in the country under a free trade agreement.

  1. A valid visitor visa if needed
  2. A travel document or a passport that will be valid for the entire duration of your stay

You will not require any work permits to carry out business activities related to your job back home, such as visiting job sites or meeting your company clients. However, if you intend to carry out managerial, secretarial, production, or technical activities, or even if you wish to stay longer than six months, in the country, you will require a work permit.
